Our general approach is to keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed.

When you have a Cucchetti profile, a temporary registration or sign up for our newsletters, we generally retain your personal data for 5 years from the last interaction you have undertaken with us.

When you interact with our customer services, we generally retain call recordings for 40 days (unless the law requires a longer retention period), and other personal information you have shared with us (including personal information shared via email, chat or text messages or when our interaction is transcribed) for 5 years from the last interaction you engaged in with us.

We may retain personal data for a shorter or longer period, for example when we are bound by legal, tax and accounting requirements.

Last interaction is defined as the last contact you have made that is trackable by our systems or a sales associate. The last contact may correspond with the last call, sales-related email or meeting that was proposed to you and to which you responded positively. For example, clicking on a link included in an email (with the exception of the link to opt out of receiving marketing content), using the chat on our website or showing up for an appointment in one of our stores are considered last contact . Conversely, opening an email or visiting a website without logging in does not qualify as last contact.

Before deleting your personal data from your Cucchetti profile or temporary registration, We will contact you to inform you of such deletion and you may ask us to keep your personal data. In the absence of a response, you agree to the deletion of any personal information about you that we are not legally required to keep for a longer period in accordance with legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We will delete or destroy your personal data without delay when they are no longer necessary (e.g., if the purposes of collection/use of the personal information have been fulfilled, or upon expiry of the retention period required by law) in such a way as to avoid the aforementioned personal information is restored or recovered. If printed on paper, personal information will be destroyed with a paper shredder, incinerated or similar, and, if saved in electronic format, personal information will be destroyed by technical methods that ensure that it cannot be restored or recovered.

In specific circumstances we may also retain your personal data for a longer time, in line with applicable statute of limitations so that we have an accurate record of your transactions with us in the event of dispute.

It is also possible that some information that we consider important to the history or heritage of Cucchetti may be retained by us for longer periods solely for archival purposes, or for historical or statistical purposes. This may be the case when some of our notable customers have benefited from our services or purchased our products.
